Stonebond rebrands with a focus on partnership housebuilding delivery

Stonebond, the family-owned housebuilder established over 40 years ago and privately funded by the Cherry family, has rebranded with a focus on its partnerships business, working with local authorities and Registered Providers to provide new, mixed-tenure developments throughout the Northern and Southern Home Counties and the Midlands.

Having grown significantly in the past 18 months, including the establishment of three new operating offices in St Albans, Sevenoaks and Solihull, Stonebond will continue to build on this platform by opening further regional businesses in 2022.

Stonebond has been increasingly working in partnership with local authorities, PRS Investors and Registered Providers, having originally built a reputation for delivering high-quality new homes predominantly in Essex. In a short period of time, staff numbers have grown from 45 to over 80 employees in the last 12 months, with the company’s headquarters in Chelmsford refitted to accommodate the growing team.

In November 2021, Stonebond was appointed to Homes England’s new Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), whilst the company has also made clear its intentions to list by 2025, by which time it expects to build 1,000 homes per annum.

Volumes and revenues are set to double this year, with the delivery of more than 400 homes and more than £100m of Group revenue anticipated in 2022, whilst there are more than 2,000 plots in Stonebond’s land pipeline.

Coinciding with the rebrand, Stonebond has also announced that it intends for all of its operations to be carbon neutral in 2022, which encompasses its regional offices, site offices, showhomes and fleet vehicles.

Commenting, Andrew Cornelius, Group Chief Executive of Stonebond, said:

“I’m pleased to confirm Stonebond’s rebrand, with a revitalised visual identity that better reflects the core operations of our business. This is a hugely exciting way to start the New Year but importantly this is about much more than a new logo – as we’ve grown over the past 18 months, we’ve refocused our strategy to focus on our partnerships business, working collaboratively with our partners to deliver high quality mixed-tenure schemes. With new operating offices in key growth areas, we’re well placed to continue to grow the business and we look forward to working with both current and new partners this year.

“Of equal importance is our additional announcement that our operations will be carbon neutral in 2022. At the heart of our business is a commitment to build sustainable homes that protect or improve local businesses, communities and the environment for years to come.”
