Stonebond Donate Life-Saving Defibrillator to Bowls Club

A life saving defibrillator has been gifted to Melbourn Bowls Club by developer Stonebond, to assist in the case of a life threatening emergency at the club.  Available on site 24 hours a day, this essential medical equipment will be available to the whole community in the village of Melbourn in South Cambridgeshire.

Situated near Stonebond’s residential development, Orchard Gardens, the bowls club has over 70 active members, as well as additional social members and is a valued part of the community, connecting people of all ages and backgrounds. Peter Blayney, Chairman of Melbourn Bowls Club, comments: “We are grateful for the generous donation of a defibrillator from Stonebond. It is incredibly important for us to ensure the safety of everyone at the club and having such an essential piece of equipment puts our team, spectators and other members of the public at greater ease. As we near our centenary, it is great to have the continued support of businesses such as Stonebond which enable this club to thrive.”

I am thrilled that we have been help provide medical equipment which could help save the lives of members, spectators and visitors to the club and thereby help make the club a safer place to enjoy.”
