About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated & detail-orientated individual to join our Group Finance team. This is a newly created role as we are seeking to develop a dedicated Group Finance function to support the regions, which will report directly into the Group Financial Controller. This role will suit an ambitious, dynamic and hardworking candidate who is keen to develop their career in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Skills & Experience

Main Responsibilities

  • Ownership of month end including supplementary schedules for the Group entity.
  • Consolidation of management accounts & flash management accounts, including supplementary schedules, and providing sufficient challenge to the regional finance teams in their delivery against budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong & effective working relationships with both the Group and Regional finance teams acting as a finance business partner to the regions to ensure knowledge sharing and consistent practice across the Group.
  • Assist in the preparation of the consolidated profit forecast & 5-year business plan.
  • Assist in financial modelling to support business decisions.
  • Consolidation of the weekly commercial pack.
  • Consolidation of short- and long-term cashflow forecasts ensuring the Group has sufficient liquidity. Preparing drawdown requests, as and when required.
  • Assist in the submission of the monthly financial packs to the bank and reporting on covenants.
  • Develop and maintain necessary controls, policies and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient financial management environment within the Group.
  • Assist with the year-end Group consolidation and production of the consolidated Annual Report under IFRS accounting standards.
  • Assisting the Group finance team with ad-hoc technical analysis in relation to new accounting standards.
  • Assist in all statutory deadlines including the annual audit, corporation tax, VAT etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Board Pack.
  • Preparation of the monthly payroll data and liaising with the payroll advisors.
  • Project work including implementing/ enhancing IT systems, IFRS transition etc.
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller on HR & Governance and IT matters.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

 

Key Requirements

  • Newly ACA qualified although an ACA finalist may be considered.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Driven, hardworking and ambitious.
  • Excellent communication skills.
