About the role

The Land Buyer is responsible for assisting in identifying, evaluating and securing land for residential development, working closely with the senior members of the land team to support the Company’s land objectives by securing and maintaining a quality land bank.

Reports to: Senior Land & Partnerships Manager
Location: Chelmsford
Type: Full – time
Salary: Competitive Salary plus Bonus

Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake initial market evaluation of proposed sites
  • Assist with the preparation of land proposals
  • Site searching and identifying new land opportunities
  • Provide financial modelling input to existing and new projects
  • Contribute towards negotiating terms for acquisition
  • Working on progressing planning applications
  • Build relationships with local agents, landowners, local authorities, Housing Associations and BTR partners

Skills Required

    • Minimum 2 years experience in Land, Development or Planning
    • Understanding of cashflow modelling and profit forecasting
    • Proactive attitude
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Determined and ambitious
