Partnering with local authorities and registered providers to create sustainable and thriving communities, for mixed tenure use, is a core commitment and an area of the business that continues to grow.
We have long-standing relationships with housing associations, local authorities and private landowners which has led to numerous successful partnerships, providing a variety mixed use developments.
Our partnerships approach is designed to be flexible to the changing needs of our stakeholders and the areas in which we operate, while ensuring long-term financial sustainability and growth.
At our site in Bishops Stortford, we partnered with Sage Homes and East Herts District Council, to deliver a range of affordable homes including apartments and bungalows.
“As a partnerships developer, nothing makes us happier than seeing residents move into quality, new affordable homes. We’ve delivered a high-quality, mixed-tenure development, and by working with Sage local people will have a real chance to get onto the housing ladder.”
– Robert Wilkinson, Managing Director of Stonebond Chelmsford
The St Albans team recently welcomed Settle to visit our site in Flitton, Bedfordshire, where we’re building a new development of mixed-tenure homes.
Flitton is the second project that we’re delivering with Settle, having already completed and handed over 25 new affordable homes in Shepreth, South Cambridgeshire.
“By working in partnership with settle we’re maximising the opportunities to deliver more affordable homes for the local area. Work is well underway and we’re looking forward to completing the development next year.”
– Peter Williams, Managing Director of Stonebond St Albans
The Manchester team recently entered into an open-ended agreement with Great Places to deliver an initial 600 homes, with the possibility for more in the future. The partnership with Great Places we allow redevelopment of brownfield sites across Greater Manchester and Cheshire into much needed affordable homes.
“Our two businesses share the same ethos and approach to affordable housing delivery, as well as build quality, and together we can make a major and long-term contribution to the North West’s affordable housing provision.”
– Andrew Cornelius, Group Chief Executive
Ghyllgrove Close marks the second time Stonebond and Sempra have worked together, and once complete the development will include a collection of 34 two, three and four bedroom houses.
“It’s good to see these new, mixed tenure affordable homes are a step closer now that demolition work is underway. The new development is a great example of how we can work in partnership with Sempra to regenerate this redundant brownfield site and create a beautiful new place to live. The homes have been designed with energy efficiency in mind, which will have a positive impact on household bills, as well as the environment more broadly.”
– Robert Wilkinson, Managing Director of Stonebond Chelmsford
