For Caroline and Tony, house hunting had been on the agenda for about three years; they were keen to buy their first home together and put down permanent roots. Set on buying a new build home, the couple searched for a property which was high-quality, part of a nice neighbourhood and in a well-connected location. Although they both grew up in Enfield, the couple first met about 7.5 years ago. Tony, director of an estate agency, had purchased a flat in Enfield in 2000 which he and Caroline, a merchandiser and owner of a wedding styling company, lived in. The couple began their search for a home with excellent build quality, durable and efficient appliances, and stylish finishes, discovering Stonebond’s scheme in Bishops Stortford. Discussing what made them so confident in this quick decision, Caroline comments: “The quality of Stonebond’s homes was like nothing we’d seen before. There’s so much more included that you would have to pay extra for with other housebuilders; a turfed garden, flooring throughout, Bosch appliances and a wine cooler. Little additions made all the difference.”
Tony adds: “I think if we had a designer draw up our perfect home, this house would nearly 100% match our ideals. The house is twice as big as our flat so we’re really enjoying this extra space and it’s suiting our lifestyles perfectly. We’ve got a spare bedroom and the third has become Caroline’s dressing room which she loves! As we both hybrid work, it’s great that there’s so much space downstairs; and we’re so happy to have a garden.”
The couple are enjoying the range of local amenities and transport connections in Bishop’s Stortford. Caroline comments: “We love going out for dinner so it’s great that there’s so many restaurants nearby. So far, we have enjoyed Roni’s and Pircio and we can’t wait to keep exploring.”
The couple conclude: “The Stonebond sales team were wonderful; they were welcoming, answered all our questions, efficient and kept to timelines. The process has been so smooth and we’re delighted with our new home.”
