We’re pleased to announce that we’re working in partnerships with affordable housing provider Home Group to build 61 affordable homes in central Chelmsford.
The partnership has acquired the site on Springfield Road, and will now work together with support from Chelmsford City Council and Homes England to deliver a wholly affordable scheme of one and two bedroom affordable rent and shared ownership apartments
This marks the first occasion where we have entered into partnership with an affordable housing provider to deliver a new development.
Construction is due to commence this year and the homes will make a significant impact on much-needed affordable housing provision for the Local Authority.
Commenting, Graham Cherry, Co-Chairman of Stonebond, said:
“This is a great new partnership for Stonebond and we are looking forward to working with Home Group, helping them and the Council to deliver more affordable homes to people in the area. We hope this is the first of many of such partnership agreements to come. Construction is due to commence later this year with the first residents moving into their homes by autumn 2021.”
